Online Coursework via Virginia Beach Digital Campus

Virginia Beach Digital Campus is a high school online program. During the regular school year, students enrolled in a full schedule of classes at their home school may take one or two classes from the convenience of their homes, working any day of the week, anytime of the day. High school students may also choose to take a full schedule of classes through Digital

Campus. Students and families opting for a full schedule through Digital Campus should contact their zoned high school counselor to discuss this option. For face-to-face students, online courses may be a part of the standard course load or in addition to it. Students should meet with their zoned high school counselor about VBDC course requests and appropriate course choices. Online courses are also available during summer school subject to enrollment limits and availability of staff. Students taking these asynchronous online courses must manage their own work time to accomplish tasks according to the schedule set by the teacher. They must have on-demand access to a capable computer and high-speed internet access. Online students must be very focused and disciplined. Student determination and parent/guardian support are essential. More information is available on the Distance Learning webpage.
